Board of Directors Election Process 2016
The mission of Gateway CDC is to drive economic revitalization along the U.S. Route 1 Corridor through business and neighborhood development initiatives including promotion of the arts as a community-building strategy. We serve the Prince George's County, MD municipalities of Brentwood, North Brentwood and Mount Rainier, and work with multiple partners to ensure the success of the entire Gateway Arts District.
Are you interested in supporting this mission and serving on the Board of Directors? To run for a seat on the Gateway CDC Board, you must be a current member and live or work in the municipalities we serve.
There are two elected seats for each municipality (Brentwood, North Brentwood and Mount Rainier), totaling six seats open for election to the Board. We are looking for individuals with expertise in:
Urban Planning
Marketing and/or Communications
Non-Profit Management
Strategic Planning
Business Administration
Public Art
To get more information please join us at the Membership Meeting and holiday celebration on December 10 at the 39th Street Gallery (Gateway Arts Center, 2nd floor) from 7-9pm. There will be light refreshments and information on Gateway CDC's election process.

We will interview you and guide you through the nominating process.
Nominations are due to the board by January 6, 2016 and we'll announce the slate of candidates by Friday, January 8. The election will be held on January 23rd at 3pm at the Annual Membership Meeting.
