Mrs. Jill Kamenetz, First Lady of Baltimore County , to be Guest Speaker at WINGS Breakfast

Displaying Jill Kamenetz.PNGWINGS Breakfast Menu at the Maryland Municipal Summer Convention was something to talk about last year. In fact, I heard that another organization will be doing omelets this year. LOL

As trendsetters, WINGS has competition this year from even another group hosting breakfast on the last day of the MML Summer Convention at the exact same time as the WINGS Breakfast.

Well, ladies, that will not stop WINGS or even set us back because those that are COMMITTED to moving Women In Government Service forward will be in attendance and in living color!

WINGS members look forward to YOU being there and seeing you there in ROOM 215 at 8:30 a.m. for a breakfast to REMEMBER.

Here is our MENU:
Made to order omelets
A stand-alone GRITS Station with all of the trimmings
A fresh and healthy FRUIT Station
An irresistible doughnut and pastry station
And of course, a Coffee/tea/orange juice

Tickets are still only $35 and everyone is welcome to come.

Our guest speaker this year is Mrs. Jill Kamenetz, First Lady of Baltimore County!

Have YOU visited Mount Rainier's Bike Coop?

Just in case you are NOT aware of one of the jewels in Mount Rainier, I would like to introduce you to the Mount Rainier Bike Coop.

The Bike Coop has been around a few years and is housed on Bunker Hill Road. It is run by volunteers who are dedicated to keeping the doors open.

Most of the bikes that they build are donated to children or adults who need a bike. They also teach others how to build or work on a bike. Matt C did this video that I think says it all.

If you have not visited the Bike Coop and you have been thinking about a bike, check out this video.

WIN UP TO $2,000 FOR ONE MONTH’S RENT OR MORTGAGE AND 3 CHANCES TO WIN UP TO $10,000 TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF YOUR FIRST HOME!

Largo, MD ---The robust housing market in Prince George’s County makes now a great time to purchase a home. Whether you’re in the market for new construction, resale, condos or senior living, Prince George’s County has something for everyone and every budget. So join the Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development and the Housing Authority of Prince George's County on Saturday, June 10th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM as it hosts the 2017 Housing Fair at the Sports and Learning Complex, 8001 Sheriff Road, Landover, MD.

The Housing Fair is presented by the Prince George's County Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and the Housing Authority of Prince George's County and sponsored by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, Bank of America and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.

Housing Fair attendees will have an opportunity to meet with housing industry professionals, such as mortgage lenders, realtors, housing counselors, banks, non-profit organizations and various government agencies. The MD Department of Housing and Community Development will have information about the Maryland Mortgage Program and the “You’ve Earned It!” program. The Fair will also hold workshops on financial literacy, foreclosure alternatives, managing your money and more.

Again this year, an expert panel discussion will open up the Housing Fair: Condominium and HOA Board Governance: How It Impacts Your Property Value. Many first time homebuyers purchase condominiums without knowing or understanding the governance behind them. This panel will enlighten potential homebuyers considering the purchase of a condo and answer questions for those who have already made their purchase.

New this year, DHCD will pay the rent or mortgage of one lucky winner, up to $2,000! In addition, DHCD will present its House Lottery this year and give pre-qualified applicants a chance to win up to $10,000 toward the purchase of their first home.

During the Mid-Day Event, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III will draw the names of 3 winners at 12:00 noon. All applicants must be present to win.
