It has been two years since I decided to remove myself from the political scene in Mount Rainier, MD, Prince George's County, and the State of Maryland. Holding the lofty position of Mayor was such a great honor, but as the years flew by, I realized that it was time to do something else -- get a life.! I did, and still continue to provide resources to the residents through The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM). Real people pass through The Front Porch Ministries weekly. LIFE is good.

Southside Music and Skateboarding Series

This Saturday, June 21, join us at NOON in the Mt. Rainier Skate Park (corner of Otis & Wells in Mt. Rainier, MD, across the street from Red Dirt Studio) for the launch of the 2014

Southside Music & Skateboarding Series!

Hot grills and ice will be stationed at Red Dirt, with live music by Lee Blackwood & Graham beginning in the park at NOON

and THIS is the really exciting part:

Skateboarding demonstrations by Jimmy Pelletier’s The DC Wheels

run NOON to 2 pm

These amazing skaters span every age/generation of skateboarding, from young teens who can tear it up to seasoned skaters who've owned the old-school tricks for decades--

and they have full decks to give away free to 20 people with true passion for skating who lack means to get a board (we're kid-focused, but no age limit here, just real interest in skating needed)

Come and shred, or eat and listen/dance/watch!

Free and open to the public; all are welcome

Mayor Malinda Miles

As a long-time resident of Mount Rainier and a homeowner, it is important to me that municipal government be inclusive of all of its residents. It is equally important that information be communicated through all possible channel so that residents can get involved. It is also important for residents to volunteer and serve on committees, commissions, boards and task forces. I truly believe that municipal government is the government closes to the people, and as such should be easily accessible. This BLOG is another effort to reach out to the residents of Mount Rainier.

We have trophies we would like to recycle. Are you still accepting them? We live in Northern VA. Please let us know how we can get them to you Iphone repair Dc, or if you are able to pick them up.Thanks
