Stay on TOP of your Game...

during this holiday season.  I know it is supposed to be about the birth of "baby Jesus," and some of us will be all up in the spirit.  HOWEVER, there will be those "all up to mischief," and no good will come from them.

Please read what one of my email contacts sent to me on yesterday, and PLEASE take heed.  NOTHING is above some of the people that you meet, greet, and speak with every day.  So, stay on TOP of your game.

ALERT! ALERT!

A member of the community had the entire contents of their "outgoing" mail stolen TODAY!  A check was included and then altered for thousands of dollars and the culprit attempted to cash the check. The bank wisely refused to cash it and confiscated it. However, the culprit now has the bank account number. And, because the bank has no authority to "hold and/or detain" anyone, the culprit walked out of the bank.

Please watch what you place in your outgoing mail box, especially during this holiday season.  Do NOT... NOT... put checks in the outgoing mail. If you do, do NOT... NOT... put the flag up. Most likely you will be getting some mail (junk, if nothing else) and so the postal carrier will probably stop at your box anyway. If at all possible, put any outgoing checks into the nearest blue mailbox or stop by the post office.

Please contact both the police and the postal authorities if this happens to you.

Please be alert!
