Canadian songwriter Dana Sipos -- coming to Mount Rainier
Dear friends in Mount Rainier and environs,
Great show coming up this week in our little hood: The lovely and talented Canadian songwriter Dana Sipos will be playing at the Waterhole, 4004 34th St, Mount Rainier MD. Dana has been traveling as a professional musician - often by the alternative means of a bicycle, tall ship and canoe - for several years, and has performed at festivals and stages across Canada and the US. She will be playing songs from her latest release, Roll Up the Night Sky, recently nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award. I have this album, by the way, and it's wonderful.
As a long-time resident of Mount Rainier and a homeowner, it is important to me that municipal government be inclusive of all of its residents. It is equally important that information be communicated through all possible channel so that residents can get involved. It is also important for residents to volunteer and serve on committees, commissions, boards and task forces. I truly believe that municipal government is the government closes to the people, and as such should be easily accessible. This BLOG is another effort to reach out to the residents of Mount Rainier.
